Su sugi

Yikes! Sorry everyone. Its been quite a long time since my last blog. In the past 2 plus weeks, I haven-t done too much. I did mis 2 and a half days of work because I was very sick. I'm finally feeling better. Also, the keyboard on my computer is broke so I had to go out and buy a keyboard to plug into my laptop. So there's my excuses for not writing in the past 2 weeks.

Otherwise, things have been going alright. Yesterday I went to Florence by myself to do some clothes shopping and also Christmas shopping. However, I hate Christmas shopping because I never know what to get anyone and thus looks like everyone is getting American gifts this year, well, unless I find some things here in Volterra. While in Florence, I was thinking that I-ve been to Florence more times that I've been to New York City, Chicago, Miami, St. Louis, Las Angelas. Granted I-ve never been to St. Louis or Las Angelas before. I guess that's what I get for wanting to live only 2 hours from one of the most desirable tourist cities in the world.

And sadly, I still haven't gotten my internet hooked up. It's driving me nuts because I think they forgot about me. And if I do call them, they probably won't be able to come to my house to hook it up untill after December 10th, which is the day I travel back to the States.

Tomorrow I get to go down to the high school, just outside the city walls here, and sign up for an Italian language course I found out about. Come to find out, this course is offered free of charge! Anyone wanna join me and learn Italian here free of charge?

Well, that's all I've got for right now. Hope everyone is well and have a happy Thanksgiving. I'll be working, seeing as its not a holiday here, just like I worked Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day.

Ciao tutti!!

Lui? Che cosa e lui?

Sorry everyone for such a delay between my last blog and now. I hope I gave you enough time to read the few longer blogs I posted while my mom and dad were here. Since they had left, things have been getting back to normal, more or less. The first few days were a bit difficult without them here but the Wednesday after they left was really hard seeing it was the first day I didn't have to work since they had left and normally, with work, my mind is a bit more occupied. I guess you can say that I'm glad thay came but not having them here, or any of my family, makes it rough at times.

Anyways, onto a lighter note. I think I have a head cold now. I've been waking up with a stuffed nose and a painful throat the last couple of mornings. Today being my day off, I sadly didn't do anything I needed to get done, like clean my house, since I was laying around in pain. Hopefully I can shake it off soon but normally, every year about this time, I'm hit with this kind of cold and I always seem to have a hard time shaking it. I haven't missed any work yet but if the condition worsens and I need to recover, Marco won't be happy when I break it to him.

On a more positive note, I should have internet at my house here very soon. I broke down and did it knowing that the winter months are going to be a bit of a challenge for me with the lack of activity outside and the lack of daylight. I also will have a phone number here at my house (0588-561001) and soon will have a 734 phone number (with Skype.com) so I can talk to anyone anytime a little cost! If everything works out right, I will have internet and an active phone line by the middle of next week. Thus, you can expect me to post blogs more often as well.

On that note, I need to sign off now and figure out what I'm going for dinner tonight. See ya's in 40 days.

Ciao tutti!
